Quran Caption does not include a built-in video exporting feature. However, you can easily
export your video using third-party screen recording software. I recommend using OBS Studio for this purpose.
Follow these steps to export your video:
- Open OBS Studio and click the `+` button in the `Sources` section.
- Select `Window Capture` from the list of options.
- From the window selection menu, choose the Quran Caption window, and select `Windows 10` as the Capture method.
- Click `OK` to add the Quran Caption window to your OBS Studio scene.
- On Quran Caption, navigate to the `Export` tab and press `F11` to enter fullscreen mode. Make sure the timeline is at the start
of the video you wish to export.
- In OBS Studio, click the `Start Recording` button, then immediately
press the `space bar` in Quran Caption to start playing the video.
- When the video finishes playing, click the `Stop Recording` button in
OBS Studio to stop the recording.
An example of exporting a video using OBS Studio:
Don't cancel like I did, I had already added the video source.
Exporting a Vertical Video
To export the video in a vertical format, you need to change the resolution settings in OBS.
Follow these steps to change the resolution settings:
- Open OBS Studio and click the `Settings` button in the `Controls` section.
- Select `Video` from the list of options.
- Change the `Base (Canvas) Resolution` to `1080x1920`.
- Change the `Output (Scaled) Resolution` to `1080x1920`.
- Click `OK` to save the changes.
You will also need to customize the captions settings accordingly in the software to fit in the
middle of the screen, such as the `Horizontal Global Padding`.
Congratulations! You have successfully exported your captioned Quranic video !
